Even voorstellen - ZORZA x PROMIS3, nieuwe single "BADBOYS"
Na de baanbrekende videoclip van "Jetski", geeft het Belgische duo Promis3 je niet veel ruimte voor rust. Samen met de Canadese hyperpop-ster Zorza, die ze vorige zomer nog uitnodigden als verrassingsgast op Pukkelpop, brengen ze op vrijdag 1 mei de gloednieuwe single "BADBOYS" uit.
Zorza behoorde de afgelopen jaren tot de meest spannende acts uit Toronto, en veroverde reeds de podia van o.a. DOUR, Boiler Room, WeCanDance, ... De samenwerking met Promis3 is ontstaan na een schrijfsessie vorige zomer rond Pukkelpop, en kreeg - naar goede gewoonte bij Promis3 - opnieuw een intrigerende videoclip.

Ancienne Belgique, Poppunt, Clubcircuit vzw, Formaat en de Brusselse Jeugdhuizen, Cactus Muziekcentrum, Het Depot, Muziekodroom, muziekclub N9, Trix, De Casino, Democrazy, De Zwerver, Het Entrepot, Nosta, Wilde Westen en 4AD presenteren Sound Track, een live- en kansenparcours voor artiesten met talent en ambitie. Met Sound Track gaan spelers uit de Vlaamse en Brusselse muzieksector samen op zoek naar de sound van hun regio.
Sound Track is een laagdrempelige manier om het talent uit de regio’s naar boven te stuwen. Een nieuwe generatie kan zich aanmelden via VI.BE platform.

BRDCAST april
BRDCST is terug van weggeweest. AB’s meest avontuurlijke en genrefluïde festival geeft in april een podium aan het spannendste wat avant-garde pop, futuristische hiphop, Afrikaanse black metal, electronica, jazz en improvisatie te bieden heeft.
Met om en bij de 50 namen oogt het programma van BRDCST 2026 overweldigend. Van vrijdag 3 tot en met maandag 6 April verwelkomt BRDCST jullie in AB, cinema Palace en de kunstgallerij VanhaerentsArtCollection. Gastcuratoren Keeley Forsyth, Ichiko Aoba en Stephen O’Malley zetten er elk op geheel eigen wijze een avond naar hun hand. De programmatorische tentakels reiken daarbij van Bolivië tot Zuid-Korea en kennen geen grens qua genre. Op BRDCST gaan hiphop, freejazz, ambient en artpop hand in hand. Alle acts hebben daarbij één gemene deler: een unieke sound, die algoritmes doet spaak lopen

AB sluit de zomervakantie traditiegetrouw af met haar twee legendarische en gratis festivals. Het strijkt opnieuw neer in Gare Maritime op de site Tour & Taxis. Van Boterhammen in de Stad mag je over de middag Nederlandstalig entertainment verwachten, terwijl Feeërieën elke avond een muzikaal smorgasbord serveert.

VRIJDAG 21 AUGUSTUS
Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul! Jaaaaaaa, zelfs hun namen lezen als muzieknoten! Voor de volledige partituur spreken we af op vrijdag. Samen met de Belgisch-Congolese Camille Yembe, want die zit ook op ramkoers richting ‘groot succes’ en komt haar debuutplaat Jeune & Laide voorstellen. Broers Max en Martin, samen Betical, maken ook vaart met hun mix van deep en indie house, terwijl de punkrock van Maria Iskariot al langer dan vandaag voor de frontale clash en crash is gegaan. Uwase, nieuwe ster in de indierock, kiest voor een iets rustiger tempo en supermodel* houdt het ook bewust simpel met koele, minimalistische vibes.
ZATERDAG 22 AUGUSTUS
Door de band genomen houden we niet van stoerdoenerij op onze wei. Voor de Australische DJ Dean Turnley maken we een uitzondering. Wordt zijn Actin’ Tough de zomerhit van 2026? Hij klinkt als vroeger en draait als nu: Funk Tribu, de Colombiaanse producer en DJ met Berlijn als uitvalsbasis. Oliver Symons schakelt dan weer tussen Antwerpen en Los Angeles en mixt melancholie met Californische popinvloeden. Zeg op zaterdag ook maar dag tegen de ribbenkast, want Teen Mortgage blaast vanaf de eerste riff iedereen omver. Ook RONKER doet vrolijk mee, zonder twijfel een van de meest eigenzinnige Belgische noisebands.
ZONDAG 23 AUGUSTUS
Andromedik is vaste waarde in de Belgische drum-’n-bass en goed voor een volle dansvloer vanaf de eerste droppppp. Daar weet DJ en producer Faisal natuurlijk alles van, hij sluit de Boiler weer af in stijl. Met een combi of vrijdagticket kan je hem trouwens al eerder spotten bij zijn poulains van IJSLAND. Hasselt zit in het DNA van indietronicaband TJE, dit wordt dus een fijne thuismatch. Nu nog die proflicentie voor Sporting Hasselt en het feest is compleet.

2025 20 jaar kleine dijk
AL 20 JAAR EEN TOONAANGEVENDE CONCERTZAAL
"20 jaar? 4AD is toch een pak ouder?", horen we je tot hier konkelfoezen. Klopt helemaal.
Tussen 1988 en 2005 was 4AD een berucht - en overbevolkt - café dat veel te grote namen
wist te strikken op haar veel te kleine podium. Na de eeuwwisseling begon de nood voor
een permanentere, goed uitgeruste plek te groeien.
Gewapend met geen geld, geen kennis maar wel veel motivatie zocht 4AD een geschikte thuisplek en de nodige middelen. En daar stond hij dan: de versleten Belgacom-loods aan de Kleine Dijk van Diksmuide.
Na een lang parcours en veel vrijwillig geklopte uren ontstonden een café, concertzaal, artiestenhotel, kantoren en repetitiebunkers. 20 jaar later zijn we er nog steeds, relevanter dan ooit en vastbesloten om er nog eens minimaal 20 jaar bij te kletsen.

Dit jaar verhuizen de 4AD-sessies naar het provinciaal domein De IJzerboomgaard aan de oevers van de IJzer. Een nieuwe plek, dezelfde formule. Minimalistische concerten in een groene en inspirerende setting. Helemaal gratis, bring your own chair.

Nieuw album ‘My Kind of Drama’ verschijnt op 28 augustus 2026
Releaseshow op 15 oktober in De Roma, Antwerpen
Met ‘Love Language’ duikt Isolde Lasoen in de wereld van (soft) erotische italo-Franse soundtracks uit de 70’s. Echo’s van Moroder, Francis Lai en Morricone zijn niet ver weg in deze sierlijke en sensuele instrumental, met zijn heerlijke analoge synths en smachtende, haast fatalistische romantiek. Producer Mitch Declerck strooide er opnieuw zijn magische French Touch fairy dust overheen.
Het is de derde track uit Isoldes nieuwe album ‘My Kind of Drama’, dat op 28 augustus verschijnt en op 15 oktober voorstelt in De Roma in Antwerpen.
