Niet wandelen, maar rennen naar Kavka Zappa want de Brits-Ierse boyband December 10 houdt er halt op zaterdag 27 juni 2026! Na het wereldwijde succes van Simon Cowells Netflix-serie 'The Next Act' en hitsingles "Run My Way" en "Angel", maakt de groep zich klaar om de harten van de Belgische fans te veroveren.
Sinds Simon Cowell in de zomer van 2024 zijn zoektocht naar de "volgende megasterren" startte, is de hype rond December 10 niet meer te stoppen. In de Netflix-docureeks 'Simon Cowell: The Next Act' zagen miljoenen kijkers hoe de band werd gevormd. Hoewel Cowell oorspronkelijk vijf leden zocht, besloot hij uiteindelijk alle zeven finalisten te behouden. Het resultaat is een zevenkoppige sensatie die in een mum van tijd de wereld veroverde: Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves en Seán Hayden.
Na hun virale cover van NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" bewijzen ze nu met eigen materiaal dat ze de rechtmatige opvolgers zijn in het rijtje van boyband-legendes. Met hun debuutsingle "Run My Way" bereikten ze meteen de UK Singles Chart, gevolgd door hun meest recente release "Angel". Gewapend met hun debuut-EP, die deze zomer verschijnt, start de groep hun Europese tour in juni. Iceage announce their sixth studio album, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter, will be out May 29th via Mexican Summer and release the new single "Ember." For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is Iceage's tightest album to date, even glossy at times, but not tight enough to dull its pulse. With wordless howls, nastily detuned riffs that bend into harmony, breakdowns, handclaps, and a chaotic choral break seemingly played on pennywhistles, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is a showcase of the band's fundamental curiosity and trust in their instincts. There is no affectation or prescription to this record—no palette of curated influence or sought sound. It is the sum total of inspirations, shared openly in the name of playing and playing's pleasures.
Following lead single "Star," today's single and album opener "Ember" formally introduces For Love of Grace & the Hereafter. The track begins as a louche warmup, a sliding run-through of chords without particular direction follows while a glockenspiel picks out a lead line. Suddenly we're off, barrelling down the street. The song is an extended hand with a raised eyebrow, inviting its subject to race through the city in love, catching breath in an alley and then going again. Vocalist Elias Rønnenfelt's "I love you in an ominous way" is a direct moment of clarity, until the rose-tinted melody spills into controlled mayhem. The accompanying video was directed by the band and Ira Rønnenfelt.
Over 18 years and five studio albums, Iceage — Rønnenfelt, guitarist Johan Suurballe Wieth, drummer Dan Kjær Nielsen, guitarist Casper Morilla Fernandez, and bassist Jakob Tvilling Pless — have worked inside the idea of collapse. It is a way of playing, singing and songwriting, almost falling apart and pulling together at once — a tumbling through life in song, catching it as it goes.
Produced and mixed by the band and Nis Bysted, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter was recorded last year at Silence Studio, a modest house in rural Sweden near the Norwegian border. Twelve years ago they recorded 2014's Plowing Into the Field of Love at the same studio; it's no coincidence it's the only time they have returned to a studio to cut a record. The band wanted to capture the same intense energy. "The songs needed to be immediate, urgent, raw, and fast," Rønnenfelt reveals. "We wanted to try to shed any unnecessary weight. Catching outlets of energy is what excites us the most."
The band leaned on their experiences and the thousands of hours on stages they've shared since they were teenagers. The setup was as minimal as possible: making decisions live and not overthinking, patient full takes with minimal overdubs. The lyrics were written only a few weeks before entering the studio to prevent the overall picture from being too fragmented and to increase the sense of risk and urgency.
For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is bright and energetic. It's both fun and as serious as ever, growing and glowing through love. Across six albums, Iceage have found salvation, notably through the throes of true love, both romantic and brotherly. Everything has been leading up to this moment for the band: a communal, cathartic collapse, and a full circle moment where contentment and chaos can live in clarity.

Off the back of his 2025 debut EP Puppies - which drew praise from leading music publications - much-loved, up-and-coming singer-songwriter Noonzy returns with his brand new single, Yeah (I'm In), out now via Play It Again Sam.
Reflecting on the new uptempo single, Noonzy says, "The song lives in that space between fear and desire—when you stop overthinking, trust the feeling, and give yourself completely to the moment. The chord progression loops almost hypnotically, but the ever-evolving bass line keeps it moving forward so it never stands still." He continues, "The vocals sit elegantly on top, giving the track a light, breezy feel while still carrying a sense of emotion and longing. It's about surrendering to the moment and letting the feeling take you wherever it wants to go."
Antwerp-based songwriter Noonzy (Arnaud Stockbroekx) began his music career in 2022 with his EP Post-it-tapes, featuring laid-back acoustic guitar tracks like idk, Spider Monkey, Awkward Feet and Let's See the World – which earned him a spot in the finals of De Nieuwe Lichting a year later. Since then, he has released a number of singles, which eventually made their way onto his 2025 debut EP Puppies via [PIAS] Recordings.
Following this, his style evolved further into groovy electronic productions in which his artistic identity became increasingly distinct, and he eventually embarked on a new path, bidding farewell to his former DIY, lo-fi indie approach and making room for experimentation and a loss of control within a pop format.

Massive Attack and Tom Waits today release a new collaboration Boots on the Ground, with an exclusive to vinyl B-side provided by Waits – a droll and sardonic spoken word piece entitled The Fly. This new track marks the first release of highly anticipated new Massive Attack material.
The band also shares an accompanying film, working with enigmatic US photo artist thefinaleye. This evocative, high-intensity montage portrays a momentous American epoch that is yet to be named, and comes in the aftermath of the largest public protests in American history – focused on opposition to ICE raids, the militarisation of domestic forces, and state authoritarianism.
Alongside the film and track release, on Friday April 17th, Massive Attack will publish an exclusive spoken word reflection on the themes of the work from novelist Omar El Akkad, author of the novels "American War" and "What Strange Paradise", and nonfiction masterpiece "One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This."
Boots on the Ground is the first Massive Attack music distributed under a Spotify exemption policy. Further releases are scheduled prior and subsequent to the band's run of live performances, including their forthcoming European tour and summer festival headlines
Massive Attack will be donating all profits from the sale of the vinyl edition to the American Civil Liberties Union and the US Immigrant Defense Project.

Having kickstarted their UK & EU tour with triumphant sold out shows in London, Paris & Amsterdam, The Haunted Youth return with wake up, the latest single to be taken from their forthcoming album, Boys Cry Too, out via Play It Again Sam on May 8, 2026.
The band's new material is far more fiery and red-blooded than their 2022 debut Dawn of the Freak, while the latest single wake up contains this icy morning-after-the-night-before regret that you can truly lose yourself in. The album as a whole is frequently one of anguish and aggression, as frontman Joachim Liebens reflects, "I was a kid on Dawn Of The Freak. It sounds almost like nursery rhymes to me – everything is so fragile and childlike, like a cry for attention." He pauses before breaking into a wide, Cheshire Cat grin. "And now I'm angsty and kicking in doors."
On Boys Cry Too, Liebens abandons the fragile, bedroom-pop innocence of Dawn Of The Freak — a debut that has since earned cult status back home — in favour of something far more confrontational and emotionally charged. The album lets go of restraint in favour of something more raw, blending fragile melodies with distortion and aggression to create a sound that feels both intimate and explosive.
It's a wide emotional spectrum reflected in a change of instrumentation for Boys Cry Too, with live drums and guitar coming more into focus ahead of the layers of sun-bleached synths that characterised Dawn Of The Freak.
Yet despite its squalls of guitar noise, Liebens says he was largely listening to hip hop artists during the record's competition, citing emo-rap outlier Lil Peep as a key influence as he crafted his own set of lyrical signifiers. "The lyrics in a lot of non-hip hop music try to bring resolution, but it's so much more powerful to have these lines that people just instantly engage with," he notes.
For all the killer lyrics on the record that grab you by the scruff of the neck, it was crucial for Liebens to leave space in his writing for the listener to impart their own experience into the songs. Boys Cry Too may have been born from his own pain, but he wants it to resonate with other people's lives.

DJ Aristidez keert eind april terug naar Brussel met vier shows: als headliner van Spring Feestje vol. 3 en met drie extra optredens verspreid over de stad.
Na zijn passage vorig jaar staat hij opnieuw op het openluchtevent aan het Londenplein, waar afrobeat, axé en disco samenkomen en de hele buurt, van bars tot restaurants, mee in beweging komt voor een feestelijke start van de lente.
De shows
Naast het openluchtevent speelt hij drie bijkomende sets in Brussel, elk met een eigen insteek. Zo is er zijn eerste publieke radiosessie in België, een clubgerichte DJ-set in de Zavel en een intiemere listening bar set in L’Altitude.
Tijdens deze shows brengt hij werk uit zijn album Uncultured Rhythms (Multi Culti Records), nieuw materiaal en invloeden uit het Amazonegeluid van zijn label Behua Icara, dat Shipibo-Konibo-artiesten uit Ucayali ondersteunt.
De artiest
Aristidez is DJ en medeoprichter van het label Behua Icara, dat via compilaties en projecten Shipibo-Konibo-artiesten uit de regio Ucayali ondersteunt. Daarnaast maakt hij deel uit van Casa Locasa, een collectief dat de elektronische scene in Lima mee vormgeeft.
Hij speelde eerder onder meer in Berlijn, Chili en Colombia. Zijn album Uncultured Rhythms (Multi Culti Records) brengt een mix van house, breaks, dub en tribale invloeden. Momenteel werkt hij aan nieuw materiaal.

Sziget Festival 2026 – 11 augustus t-m 15 augustus 2026 - Sziget Festival kondigt Skrillex aan als afsluitende act op zaterdag
Sziget Festival heeft opnieuw een grote naam toegevoegd aan de line-up voor de aankomende editie: Skrillex sluit op zaterdag 15 augustus de Main Stage af. Hij voegt zich bij eerder aangekondigde artiesten als Zara Larsson, Sombr, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, Florence + The Machine, Skepta, Bring Me The Horizon en Jorja Smith. Met deze aankondiging is de afsluiter van de laatste dag van het festival bekendgemaakt.
De Amerikaanse dj en producer Skrillex geldt al jaren als een van de meest invloedrijke artiesten binnen de elektronische muziek. Met zijn kenmerkende sound en indrukwekkende liveshows bracht hij dubstep naar het grote publiek. Zijn laatste optreden op Sziget was in 2024, waar hij die dag een bezoekersrecord neerzette.
Dit jaar staat Skrillex slechts op een beperkt aantal Europese podia, met Sziget als een van de belangrijkste stops. Als afsluiter van de Main Stage op zaterdag - tevens de laatste festivaldag - verzorgt hij de finale in Boedapest.
Sziget Festival vindt van 11 t/m 15 augustus plaats op het Óbuda-eiland in Boedapest, waar elke zomer bezoekers uit de hele wereld samenkomen. Jaarlijks trekken ook heel veel Nederlandse en Belgische bezoekers naar het festival en staan er ook artiesten uit deze landen op het programma. Dit jaar maken onder meer Sef, Soulwax, John Coffey, Joris Voorn, Sylvie Kreusch, Altin Gün, LAMMER en AUTOFLOWER b2b Sam Hofman hun opwachting. In de beroemde Magic Mirror staat het Amsterdamse collectief House of Circus straks vijf avonden achter elkaar.
Het meerdaagse festival biedt daarnaast een uitgebreid kunst, dans en cultuurprogramma, waar binnenkort meer informatie over volgt.
Bezoekers kunnen overnachten op het eiland; op heel veel plekken mogen zij hun tent neer zetten. Voor wie meer comfort zoekt, zijn er diverse glampingopties beschikbaar, of kan worden gekozen voor een overnachting in Boedapest.

Plancktoon kiest tegen de stroom in voor het album, 'Hoofd hart handen'
Terwijl de muziekwereld steeds meer draait om losse singles en algoritmes, kiest Plancktoon bewust voor het uitbrengen van een album. Op 17 april verschijnt Hoofd hart handen: een Nederlandstalig totaalwerk met elf nieuwe songs, bedoeld om van begin tot eind te beluisteren.
Hoofd hart handen is een (digitaal) album zoals een album ooit bedoeld was: samenhangend, gelaagd en vol afwisseling. Geen verzameling wannabe-hitjes, maar songs met een eigen bestaansrecht. Van de titelsong, die sluipend begint om uiteindelijk toch op te stijgen, tot Koffer vol met een latin-feel. Van het dreigende Eens was je tot het aanstekelijke De wereld is open. Over het geheel hangt een lichte melancholie, zonder ooit zwaarmoedig te worden. Hoorbaar gemaakt met plezier, liefde: met hoofd, hart en handen.
De elf nummers vormen samen misschien wel één grote hit: een albumhit. Zo'n plaat die je opzet en in één keer uitluistert. Die na verloop van tijd past als een jas, waarbij je aan het einde van een nummer al weet hoe het volgende begint.
Met deze keuze voor een album trekt Plancktoon zich weinig aan van de wetten van het streamen, waarin artiesten vooral worden aangemoedigd om regelmatig singles en EP's uit te brengen. Juist dat eigenwijze past bij de band. Plancktoon weigert zich vast te leggen in een hokje.

Synthpop? Nederpop? Indiepop? Of toch electro-poëzie? Misschien is Plancktoon wel gewoon popmuziek. Nou ja, gewoon... Overduidelijk met een eigen stem, een eigen stijl en een eigen verhaal; van menselijk onvermogen tot boosheid. En natuurlijk de liefde. Dansbaar, poëtisch, stil en voluit. En altijd met energie. Met hart, hoofd en handen. En live toch net wat anders dan op de plaat. Net wat rauwer, net wat feller. Plancktoon serveert zijn muziek als microvoedsel voor de ziel. Op een bedje van levenservaring. Even voorstellen – Casablanca driver – Protocol
Het aankomende album Protocol van de Franse indieband Casablanca Driver.
De band weet een interessante mix te maken van garage-rock en synthesisers. Al sinds hun debuutsingle staat hun onstuimige, dansbare energie centraal, waardoor ze met hun dynamische liveoptredens naam hebben gemaakt in de indiescene. Afgelopen maand streek deze live show voor het eerst neer in Nederland voor een show in Rotterdam. Later dit jaar zullen ze Brussel aandoen voor een show.
Met deze nieuwe plaat laten ze een vernieuwend geluid horen. De stijl van deze nieuwe fase van Casablanca Drivers wordt gekenmerkt door dansbare ritmes, garagegitaren en een baslijn die zowel clubbers als punks aanspreekt, aangevuld met rauwe vocalen. Soul phenom Jalen Ngonda shares new single 'Hang it On The Shelf'. The second offering from his forthcoming sophomore album Doctrine of Love, Jalen's new song radiates warmth through a timeless, uptempo groove. Following the previously-released album title track, both new songs from Jalen's new album demonstrate his guiding principle for Doctrine of Love – serving as a contemporary conduit for the spirit of 60s and 70s soul music without clichés. Jalen imbues those classic sounds with the essence of modern pop and R&B through his once-in-a-generation voice.
Jalen's sophomore album widens the aperture on his signature sound, drawing from a more diverse collection of sounds from the musical era that's captivated him since childhood. He chronologically places the album in the late '60s, steeping his voice in the quintessential funk and soul of that era, while experimenting with folk rock, doo wop, and the early rock 'n' roll of 1950's New Orleans records. Doctrine of Love solidifies Jalen's place as a torchbearer for the future of soul music in the lineage of the genre's leading men, informed by his scholarship of the early history of rock 'n' roll, blues, soul and gospel.
Working alongside close collaborators Vince Chiarito and Michael Buckley once again, the new album brims with a proven level of poise and confidence following the success of his critically-acclaimed debut album Come Around and Love Me. His debut in 2023 triggered a staggering rise, with Jalen making his UK TV debut on Graham Norton and Later with Jools Holland as well as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the US. His viral hit single 'If You Don't Want My Love' has racked up over 253 million streams to date and he achieved A-list rotation on BBC 2, BBC 6 Music and Jazz FM across multiple singles. His live show captivated audiences from day one, opening for Thee Sacred Souls, Freddie Gibbs and Olivia Deanon their respective US and European tours, along with selling out a healthy number of global club dates as a headliner. Jalen has also collaborated with the likes of Jordan Rakei and Damon Albarn's Gorillaz, who tapped Jalen to be featured on their newly-released album The Mountain.
Jalen Ngonda's renowned live show and revelatory voice will return to Europe this autumn with a headline tour kicking off on 2 October in Amsterdam. He also just recently announced that he will be supporting Olivia Dean on the European leg of her arena tour. The run follows an extensive stretch of international performances, which began last month with dates across Australia, before heading through the UK and Europe in spring and into a packed summer festival schedule. Highlights include appearances at Love Supreme (UK), North Sea Jazz (Rotterdam) and Mad Cool (Madrid), further cementing his reputation as one of the most compelling live performers of his generation.

Introducing INNOCNT. Achter die naam schuilt Antoine Innocent, een Brusselse singer-songwriter die zich de voorbije jaren stilletjes maar zeker heeft opgewerkt tot een van de meest veelbelovende stemmen van de soulwereld. Begeleid door Michel Lambot, mede-oprichter van PIAS, en gevormd in de studio met producer Azzedine Djelil, bracht hij in 2024 zijn ep SIX uit; een introductie die niet onopgemerkt bleef. Datzelfde jaar stond hij o.a. op Fifty Lab Music Festival, waar hij bewees dat zijn muziek even goed beklijft op een podium als in een koptelefoon.
Nu is hij terug met 'A Mama Should Know', zijn eerste single van 2026. Het nummer is geschreven voor iedereen die ooit iets te snel volwassen moest worden, een smeekbede vanuit het perspectief van een kind dat vraagt om de kleine dingen die de meeste mensen als vanzelfsprekend beschouwen. Een afscheidszoentje. Een moeder die thuiskomt voor zonsopgang. Antoine Innocent pakt dat kwetsbare verhaal in een geluid waarin soulvolle melodieën en alternative rock-texturen samenkomen. De mastering was in handen van Charlie Russell (Kasabian, Alt-J, Jamiroquai, Robbie Williams).
WIE IS INNOCNT
Antoine Innocent, bekend als INNOCNT, is een Brusselse singer-songwriter met een verhaal dat even kleurrijk is als zijn muziek. Geboren in Parijs, grootgebracht in een kosmopolitisch gezin een Roemeense moeder, een Haïtiaanse vader die zijn droom najoeg als zanger in de Verenigde Staten, groeide hij op tussen de podia. Als kind toerde hij mee met zijn vader, deelde hij de microfoon met hem en leerde hij het podium kennen zoals anderen een speelplaats kennen. Na een omweg via Ottawa vestigde zijn familie zich in Brussel, de stad die zijn thuis werd. Daar dook hij een kleine home studio in, leerde hij zijn stem beheersen en begon hij te schrijven. Geïnspireerd door John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Amy Winehouse en Bruno Mars, maar altijd onmiskenbaar zijn eigen.
