Chart-topping rock band Bad Omens are back with their latest single, “Dying To Love,” an anthemic track that blends the band’s heavy roots with forward-thinking production. Dog Ear is the fourth full-length album from acclaimed Americana band The Bros. Landreth. It is a product of spending a lot of time on the road together touring their last album Come Morning and a 10th Anniversary release of their debut album Let it Lie. They came back from tour energized by their live chemistry and tried to write and record with that same energy and spirit. The result is an album that is injected with the live energy of their shows, but also the careful tenderness and production work they are known for.

The album is about figuring out what it means to be a consistent and present force for the people in your life that you care about. To show up and be there for your friends, your kids, your brother, your bandmates, your partner. This album, in a way, is leaving behind little crumbs of the things they hold dear. Hopefully these crumbs lead you to the heart of the things they hold dear. It’s about leaving something behind for their kids too. Like folded dog-ear corners in a well-loved book, it marks the history and love in your life for others to find later, to keep you from losing your place.

Dog Ear is full of rip-roaring guitar-driven romps, tender introspection, vocal harmonies, wild tones and lots of love and care. The album also features two magical appearances from Bonnie Raitt and one from Begonia. They both imbued a wonderful vocal counterpoint to Dave and Joey’s sound to create some truly special moments.

The Bros. Landreth are two-time JUNO Award winners from Winnipeg, known for their blend of guitar-driven, soulful, blood harmony roots music. The band, the core of which consists of brothers Dave and Joey Landreth, has earned critical acclaim and a dedicated audience for their heartfelt songs, inventive musicianship, and powerful performances. From their early days attending their father's gigs as babies ("Mom would tuck us into a bassinet and slide us under the bar tables," says Dave), the brothers have spent a lifetime touring rock clubs, theatres, and music festivals across North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia, including stand-out performances at Byron Bay Blues Festival in Australia and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads GuitarFestival in Los Angeles. Pullman is a studio-born acoustic supergroup that emerged from Chicago’s post-rock milieu in the late ’90s, uniting Ken “Bundy K.” Brown (Tortoise/Directions in Music), Curtis Harvey (Rex), Chris Brokaw (Come), and Doug McCombs (Tortoise/Eleventh Dream Day); drummer Tim Barnes later joined, solidifying the group’s core lineup.

They debuted on Thrill Jockey with Turnstyles & Junkpiles (1998), a hushed, live-to-2-track collection of interwoven guitars that critics likened to John Fahey, Leo Kottke, and Gastr del Sol. Their follow-up, Viewfinder (2001), expanded the palette with percussion, subtle electric textures, and multi-track layering, while maintaining Pullman’s rustic, cinematic restraint. Across both albums, the band became a touchstone for acoustic, song-adjacent instrumental music: folk in spirit, post-rock in method, and timeless in tone.

Two decades later, Pullman return with III, an album forged in friendship and resilience. It's announced today for a January 9th release date via Western Vinyl alongside the dynamic, textured new track "Weightless."

In 2021, Barnes went public with his diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s at age 54. Even as his condition progressed, he and Brown began working almost daily, often remotely, with a wide circle of collaborators from Barnes’s musical past.

What began as a single contribution for a compilation gradually blossomed into a full Pullman record, completed between 2021 and 2023. Edited and mixed by Brown, with early input from Barnes, III carries forward the group’s signature intimacy and space while embodying the spirit of community that has always defined their work.

Both a continuation of Pullman’s singular aesthetic and a testament to the sustaining power of music, III drifts with the quiet weight of memory, persistence, and grace.
