Ed Ozgar is an independent, DIY-spirited artist based in Brussels. His style, steeped in a vintage and psychedelic essence, isn't afraid to wander into soulful territories. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mac DeMarco, Cousin Kula or King Krule, Ed Ozgar's songs unfold stories that are often poetic and sometimes quirky, like a subtle and indirect way of exploring his own emotions

set against nocturnal backdrops on city rooftops, in the desert, or an abandoned amusement park. On stage, Ed Ozgar performs alongside talented musicians he's been playing with for years in established projects (Colt, Youssef Swatt's...). Thanks to their chemistry, they elevate his songs into stripped-back, instrument-driven performances marked by a certain raw elegance. Their energy, at times powerful and at times introspective, adds a deeper dimension to these sonic landscapes. After several residencies, the project has honed its live sound in intimate venues across Brussels and Flanders, playing a series of headline shows and opening slots. Ed Ozgar was also featured on "Planète Colt," a show organized by the Belgian duo to celebrate their latest album release, and was selected as a Volta member artist. His debut EP 'Soft Static' is set for release on November 7th 2025.

Written in the solitude of a Brussels apartment, 'Soft Static' captures a period of feeling lost and unmoored. New to the city, the artist quickly came up against a capital that felt overwhelming : too loud, too sprawling, too impenetrable. The EP explores that space between the heavy weight of loneliness and the feverish excitement of new beginnings. 'Soft Static' becomes a way to reclaim intimacy through creation — crafted within this stifling apartment that was, paradoxically, the only true refuge for experimentation. The result is an indie rock EP infused with vintage synth sounds, lending a psychedelic edge to the whole. Its laid-back tone rests on warm, live- driven rhythm, with some bursts of rawer rock energy"
