Colleen, aka multi-instrumentalist Cécile Schott, has announced her new album Libres antes del final, out March 20th, 2026. Along with the album's announcement, Schott has shared a string of special tour dates throughout the US and EU including a set at Long Play Festival, as well as the the clarion single "Antídoto," a sparkling whirlwind of synthesis. She elaborates on the track's place in the album:
"I think the album in general has a tense and at times rather dark energy, and "Antídoto," bang in the middle of the album, acts as the positive counterweight and joyful centerpiece. It is the sun-drenched, edgy reply to moments when you feel anger, it is my musical way of saying I can turn the situation upside down and build my own antidote to the negative feelings consuming me. It has the energy of "I'm not going to let things get in my way.”"

Schott sees the album as "an ode to movement, to the body, to water, to urgency; to repairing old wounds, overcoming personal blocks and starting all over again." The initial spark of Libres antes del final was borne of a realization perhaps best described by Schott herself:
“In April 2024, I made a decision that deeply impacted me, one on which I had procrastinated for years: learning to swim again, in the sea, after 30 years of water phobia. I longed for a reconnection to that feeling I had felt as a child swimming so freely and confidently, and when I moved to Barcelona in 2019, the sight of the Mediterranean Sea made me feel this limitation more and more acutely with each passing year. A show in the Azores in March 2024, corresponding to my 250th live show, functioned as a wakeup call for me: surrounded by this gorgeous environment where seeing dolphins is the norm, I realized I had to stop making excuses, and a month later, I finally contacted an open water teacher.
“I came to view the journey of learning to swim again as an adult as a powerful metaphor for what it’s like to learn to navigate life every single day, with each successive step feeling like a personal victory and milestone, in the unstable environment of the sea, its discomfort, the doubts about your abilities and the reality of facing your own limitations.

“I was especially blown away by the fact that it took me way longer to start to swim 5cm away from where my feet still touched the ground, than it subsequently took me to swim 250 meters away from the shore. Could this mean that everything in life works this way, that the first small step really is the hardest to take?”

The compositions of Colleen are as richly varied as they are precise. Each of Colleen’s albums is shaped by her predetermined distinct instrumentation and parameters, including works composed entirely of music boxes, pocket synthesizers, and baroque stringed instruments. The connective essence of Schott’s music is in her ability to create pieces within specificity that are both transcendently expansive and imbued with profound emotions. Libres antes del final is an album that reaches for the hope and desire to be truly freed from unnecessary suffering and harmful thoughts before reaching the end of one’s life cycle.

Rock Zottegem 2026 – juli 2026 – Rits namen - Kraftwerk, OMD, Steel Panther en Clouseau op ROCK ZOTTEGEM

Naast de eerder aangekondigde Neil Young lost ROCK ZOTTEGEM nieuwe namen en dat zijn opnieuw niet de minste: ook de legendarische Duitse band Kraftwerk, OMD, Steel Panther en Clouseau zakken af naar Zottegem. ROCK ZOTTEGEM gaat volgend jaar door op vrijdag 10, zaterdag 11 en zondag 12 juli ‘26.

Kraftwerk, OMD en Steel Panther op zaterdag 11 juli ‘26
Op vrijdag 10 juli ’26 komt muzieklegende Neil Young naar ROCK ZOTTEGEM, dat maakte de organisatie reeds eerder bekend.  Maar ook op zaterdag 11 juli ’26 schrijft ROCK ZOTTEGEM muziekgeschiedenis: de grondleggers van de elektronische muziek Kraftwerk komen langs. De Duitse band staat bekend om zijn heel eigen sound, tot de verbeelding sprekende livereputatie en wordt beschouwd als de pioniers van de electropop en techno.

Ze krijgen op zaterdag het muzikale gezelschap van een andere legendarische band OMD, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. De eigenzinnige band uit Liverpool van frontman Andy McCluskey liet zich oa. inspireren door Kraftwerk en gooide hoge ogen in de jaren ’80.

Wie ongetwijfeld ook voor een memorabel muzikaal moment zorgt op ROCK ZOTTEGEM ’26 is Steel Panther. De glam metal band uit LA van frontman Michael Starr combineert loeiharde gitaren met een portie muzikale humor. Maak jullie klaar voor een ode aan de jaren ’80.

Clouseau op zondag 12 juli ‘26
Ook in 2026 mag Zottegem zich opmaken voor drie dagen feest. Op zondag 12 juli komt de populairste band van eigen bodem, Clouseau, langs. Wie het geluk had de vorige doortocht van de broers Koen en Kris Wauters in Zottegem mee te maken, weet hoe laat het is: tijd om tickets te kopen en alvast een resem Clouseauhits af te stoffen.

“Wij zijn superfier”
Organisator Kurt De Loor is heel tevreden met de muzikale mix die het ROCK ZOTTEGEM-team opnieuw kan presenteren aan het trouwe festivalpubliek. “We kijken er echt enorm naar uit. Zottegem wordt aan het begin van de zomer opnieuw even het centrum van de muziekwereld. Met Neil Young strikten we al een legende; nu komen daar ook nog de mannen van Kraftwerk bij. We zijn daar superfier op. Laat die festivalzomer maar komen!”

Iedereen heeft z’n eigen drama. De ene loopt ervan weg, de andere zoekt het op. Isolde Lasoen bewaart het hare liefst voor muziek. 20 Jaar Schlagersucces. Laura Lynn haar iconische schlagerhit ‘Je Hebt Me 1000 Maal Belogen’ verschijnt op 19 december als Exclusieve Gold Vinyl Single. Op de valreep van 2025 wil het nieuwe label AMB Music nog een belangrijke verjaardag vieren. Twintig jaar na de release van Laura Lynn haar gigantische doorbraakhit ‘Je Hebt Me 1000 Maal Belogen’ viert AMB Music dit jubileum met een unieke fysieke uitgave van het nummer. De onbetwiste klassieker uit 2005 verschijnt op 19 december 2025 als een exclusieve gelimiteerde 7-inch vinyl single. Het nummer bracht Laura Lynn in 2005 naar de absolute top van de Vlaamse Schlagerwereld en zette het genre definitief terug op de kaart. Om deze mijlpaal in stijl te vieren, is gekozen voor een bijzondere uitvoering die een must-have collector's item is. De single verschijnt op 19 december voor het eerst als 7” single in een strikt gelimiteerde oplage van 500 exemplaren op goudkleurig vinyl.
