Brussels based Limite embodies a unique blend of contemporay jazz roots with indie alternative rock, no wave, and avant-folk, drawing influences from Blonde Redhead, Big Thief, Daniel Rossen, Joanna Newsom, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Deerhoof, Sonic Youth, Jim O' Rourke. Limite’s new record 'A Thought Went Up My Mind Today' - their first album release on W.E.R.F. Records - is a surreal serpentine detour from the real world, winding and curving through the strange and secrete realms of unlikely characters. It carries you into abysses of chimera seas, cruising along like a road movie of the mind. Steered by the gripping words of Emily Dickinson, it is a solitary walk along the side of a road to parts unknown.

Single 'Under The Light, Yet Under' is a musical love letter to Emily Dickinson. The song unfolds like a riddle, revealing its meaning only at the end and reflecting on the fragile line between the living and the dead.

“Great Streets of silence led away / To Neighborhoods of Pause." Once again Emily Dickinson’s words lie at the core of the musical impulse of 'Great Streets Of Silence Led Away', the second single of the album. The band grips the counterpoint and pulls it decisively toward noise rather than silence. Sound and silence feel more tightly bound than ever, as the noisy guitar solo seems to reveal. As the piece comes to a close, the text reads: “But Epoch had no basis here / For Period exhaled.”
