The Slovenian music and multimedia group Laibach continue an ongoing series of single releases with a brand new song entitled 'Yom Kippur', which the group have issued in commemoration of the peace agreement to end the war in Gaza. The song is dedicated to all the innocent victims of this conflict, and above all to the tens of thousands of children who have been killed or maimed, as well as to the child victims of all wars.
Yom Kippur is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, dedicated to repentance, remembrance and the possibility of moral and spiritual renewal. It emphasises collective responsibility, reconciliation and the seeking of forgiveness, not only from God, but also from other people and from history itself. It represents a metaphor for the moment when society looks into the mirror of its own sins and denials, when repentance becomes a collective duty, with the aim of understanding guilt and striving for moral and spiritual renewal.
This song is therefore a requiem dedicated to the innocent victims, but also directed toward the perpetrators and all those who have watched from the sidelines and refused to feel complicit. It speaks of forgotten compassion, a silenced conscience and the responsibility the world continues to evade. In it, Yom Kippur is no longer merely a religious ritual, but a reminder that without reconciliation there is no future. Moreover, without acknowledgment of guilt, there can be no peace or redemption.
'Yom Kippur' follows Laibach's release of their wry German version of 'Die Kanone' (The Cannon), a 50th anniversary reinterpretation of a song by the legendary Bosnian rock band Bijelo Dugme. 2025 has also seen them release 'Alamut' (one of The Quietus' 'Albums of the Year so Far'), as well as several singles from the same series that have included their unique takes on 'I Want To Know What Love Is' by Foreigner and 'Strange Fruit', the song made famous by Billie Holiday.

Electronic music icon TIGA announces his forthcoming album HOTLIFE, set for release on April 17, 2026, with a long-awaited new single "ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME" out today as a collaborative release via Montreal's Turbo Recordings and Secret City Records. The Canadian producer, DJ, and label head delivers an emotive masterpiece, blurring the lines between eloquent introspection and peak-time club euphoria.
"ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME" sparked an Instagram riot way back in 2023 when Tiga teased a brief excerpt. Fans flooded his DMs with thousands of pleas to release the track immediately, which took his team months to delete unread. Nearly three years later, we're finally answering the call. "It's rewarding to write lyrics that resonate with people on a personal level," confides Tiga. "Here's a little something off the dome right now: 'There's so much to discover / Under the covers / In the backseat of my Audi machine...' I mean, it's like breathing to me."
On "ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME," Tiga returns to reveal the most important hallways of the human heart, breathing new, sensual life into the Overt Power Romance genre. The track is written with frequent collaborator Matthew Dear(also known as Audion) and completed with new best friends Jump Source (ie Montreal's rising duo of Priori and Patrick Holland). The cryptically autobiographical lyrics and heartrending 80s synth-pop atmospherics contrast with the singer-producer's penchant for impossibly muscular bangers.
"You have to live with every track you make," says Tiga. "But you don't love all your tracks the same. I love this track with all my heart because it makes me feel like the artist I want to be. It's forced me to become a better man, a better father, and a pillar of my community. I will never be able to fully repay this song all I owe, but I can make it the closing tune of the best album I have ever made. That will have to be enough."
"ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME" continues a series of singles planned for release in 2025, a display of adrenaline-soaked generosity culminating in Tiga's first studio album in over a decade - HOTLIFE - which features global artists such as Fcukers, Boys Noize, Maara, and MRD.

THE XX
The xx is a band built around the talents of Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, and Jamie Smith (aka Jamie xx). DAVID BYRNE
In 2023, as his triumphant „American Utopia" era came to a close after morphing from an album and tour into an acclaimed Broadway show and then a Spike Lee-directed HBO film, David Byrne began jotting down the occasional groove, chord or melody. During the tumultuous three prior years, Byrne, started compiling lyric ideas and phrases for possible songs. With the world on pause, like much of humanity, David took the opportunity to ask, "Do I like what I'm doing? Does any of it matter?" Byrne's attempts to answer those weighty questions can be found on „Who Is The Sky?", a first-time collaboration between himself, Grammy-winning producer Kid Harpoon and New York-based chamber ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra, and featuring guest appearances by Paramore's Hayley Williams, longtime collaborator St. Vincent and The Smile drummer Tom Skinner. ETHEL CAIN
Ethel Cain is the creation of multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia. After years spent teaching herself to produce at home in Florida and releasing various projects, Cain moved to Indiana and single - handedly wrote, produced, recorded and mixed her acclaimed 2021 EP „Inbred" from the basement of the old church where she lived. Since then, she has released three bodies of work. Her 2022 debut album „Preacher's Daughter", a multimedia work that took more than four years to assemble, was released to widespread praise, with many critics naming the album one of the best of the year. In 2025 she has unveiled „Perverts", a 90 - minute project exploring her furthest afield inspirations from ambient and drone, and her sophomore LP „Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You", both to near - universal acclaim. Ethel Cain is playing on Tent Stage, July 3.

De Utrechtse deep- en progressive house band Tinlicker komt voor het eerst als trio naar België. Op vrijdag 19 juni 2026 stellen ze hun nieuwe muziek live voor in Ancienne Belgique in Brussel. Tickets zijn beschikbaar via livenation.be.
Al meer dan tien jaar speelt Tinlicker, het project van Jordi van Achthoven en Micha Heyboer, met de grenzen van de elektronische muziek, met een unieke en persoonlijke sound. Na hun grote doorbraak in 2021 met "Because You Move Me", gooide Tinlicker het roer om. Ze wisselden dj-sets in voor een liveformule met band. Instrumenten, zoals strijkers, toetsen en blazers, spelen sindsdien een grote rol in hun muziek. Maar wat Tinlicker echt bijzonder maakt, is hun talent om gevoelens op te roepen: van pure euforie tot weemoed en alles daartussenin. Even voorstellen - Intige Taluure en Kloot Per W - Sometimes weak at the knees
Belpoplegende Kloot Per W vierde zondag 19 oktober zijn 70e verjaardag in De Muze, Heusden-Zolder. Bij die gelegenheid werden zowel zijn nieuwe soloplaat “Van Gogh” als de cd “Weak at the knees” voorgesteld. Deze laatste een samenwerking tussen Kloot en Intige Taluure (het duo Jean-Marie Mievis en Kim Duchateau).
Intige Taluure begon een paar jaar geleden aan een cassettereeks, “Newton’s Flat Fidelity”, waarbij voor elke cassette met een andere artiest samengewerkt werd. Bedoeling hierbij is dat de ene artiest een aantal nummers begint, die dan door de andere worden afgewerkt en omgekeerd. Leenden zich al voor deze unieke kruisbestuiving: Rudy Trouvé, Truus De Groot/Plus Instruments, Azure Mortal (Buscemi) en Mauro Pawlowski (deze laatste verscheen niet enkel op cassette maar ook op vinyl).
En nu is er dus de samenwerking met Kloot Per W en dit op cd nog wel. Onder de welwillende titel “Sometimes weak at the knees” schuilen 20 nummers , een muzikale roetsjbaan van postpunk en onweerstaanbare pop over onversneden rock en eigenzinnig chanson tot sfeervol exeperiment met alles wat daartussen ligt.

In 2026 is het vijfentwintig jaar geleden dat de band Monza de eerste van drie cd's uitbracht: 'Van God Los' was de titel, idem zoals de allereerste single (release op 10 maart 2001) van zowel groep als debuut-album. Op die plaat stonden vier singles, die stuk voor stuk ruim airplay haalden: 'Van God Los' zelf, 'De Stad Kan Zo Koud Zijn', 'Naïviteit' en 'De Ogen Van Jenny', die ook alle vier een videoclip meekregen. Destijds zowat een vereiste, zelfs in pre-YouTube & TikTok-tijden.
Aan boord van de eerste Monza-bezetting - later volgden nog anderen - bleek zich straf volk te bevinden: naast zanger/tekstschrijver Stijn Meuris?(ex-Noordkaap) waren ook drummer Mario Goossens?(zie ook Noordkaap, Triggerfinger, Hooverphonic, Sloper en Bazart), gitarist Piet De Pessemier?(oa. LeNoise, Mad About Mountains en Krakow), toetsenist David Poltrock?(oa. Hooverphonic, De Mens, eigen albums, soundtracks en productiewerk) en de op jonge leeftijd in Parijs overleden jazzbassist Bart Zegers?volop bezig om van de groep een unieke Nederlandstalige band te maken. Dat vertaalde zich live in erg intense concerten met een sfeer en muzikaliteit die zowel toen als nu moeilijk te vergelijken vallen.?
Monza hield er na de drie cd's ('Van God Los' 2001, 'Grand' 2005 en 'Attica!' 2008) en ruim honderd shows mee op, ondermeer doordat de afzonderlijke leden met allerlei andere bands en projecten bezig waren. En ook wel doordat een reeks ambitieuze concerten in een rondreizende circustent financieel een zware dobber bleek te zijn...
Maar dat eerste album bleef jeuken - en single 'Van God Los' ging een eigen leven leiden. Noem het gerust een classic, die zowel door Noordkaap in hun reünie-reeks als door Bazart wordt gespeeld, maar die ook in totaal andere versies overeind blijft. Een quote van Stijn Meuris in dat verband:?'Speel dat nummer achterstevoren op een panfluit en je brult het nog mee...'
En dus volgt binnenkort een heruitgave van twee dingen:
de debuutplaat 'Van God Los' wordt voor het eerst zowel digitaal als op vinyl uitgebracht. In aanloop naar die re-release worden ook de vier singles na een kwarteeuw opnieuw onder de aandacht gebracht. Inclusief de clips die nooit in hi-res op YT te zien waren;?
het nummer 'Van God Los' krijgt een héél aparte aanpak. Meuris liep al langer met het idee rond om die track helemaal te ontmantelen en er samen met de oorspronkelijke leden een Very Extended Version van te maken. Noem het desgewenst een?compositie, noem het eender wat, maar 'Van God Los' als een kwartier durende track lijkt op wonderlijke wijze te lukken. Opgenomen in de eigen studios van David Poltrock en Mario Goossens is 'Van God Los' uitgegroeid tot een, euh... sonisch werkstuk, zo u wil.?
Liveplannen zijn er vooralsnog niet. Maar wat niet is, kan nog komen.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce their new live album Live God, the stunning testament to The Wild God Tour, which wowed audiences across the UK, Europe and North America in 2024 and '25. Across 18 live tracks, the album captures the wildly transcendent nature of those unforgettable shows, which were, in Nick Cave's own words, "an antidote to despair."
Due for release on December 5, Live God is available to pre-order now on Premium Double Gatefold LP, Double CD and Digital. The first single 'Wild God (Live God)' is available to stream and download now. Live God will be released on Bad Seed in partnership with Play It Again Sam.
The tracklist includes performances of songs from the acclaimed 2024 studio album Wild God, as well as mind-blowing versions of catalogue favourites, such as From Her To Eternity, Papa Won't Leave You, Henry and Into My Arms.
For its final iteration, The Wild God Tour travels to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026. The band then return to Europe in summer 2026 for a monumental run of new outdoor headline shows and festival appearances, beginning on 10 June at Malahide Castle, Ireland, and touring through Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, France, UK, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Norway and Lithuania. The run concludes back in France at Rock en Seine festival on 28 August - with further dates to be announced in between.
The epic season of live dates includes the now sold out UK-exclusive headline show at Preston Park in Brighton on Friday 31 July. This show isn't just a tour date, it's a homecoming. Nick Cave's connection to the city of Brighton is enduring and unique, making Preston Park 2026 a landmark moment in both the city's and the band's history.

Op vrijdag 17 oktober won Tom Eylenbosch als solo-act de Belgian Blues Challenge 2025, georganiseerd door de Belgian Blues Federation en Blues Zuidrand. De live-finale vond plaats in het cultureel centrum van Aartselaar. Door zijn overwinning mag Tom ons land vertegenwoordigen op de European Blues Challenge 2026 (in Katowice, Polen) en de International Blues Challenge 2027 in Memphis. The Dibs eindigden tweede; de derde plaats was voor Ruben Bertrands & The Nightcaps.

Foo Fighters zijn terug met hun nieuwe single ‘Asking for a Friend’ en kondigen een stadiontour door Noord-Amerika aan in 2026. Depeche Mode brengt op 5 december twee bijzondere releases uit: de CD/DVD- en CD/Blu-ray-versies van de film ‘DEPECHE MODE: M’ en het livealbum ‘MEMENTO MORI: MEXICO CITY’ op CD en vinyl. Nu verschijnt ‘Comic Trip (Deluxe)’, de uitgebreide versie van Sylvie Kreusch haar gevierde tweede plaat ‘Comic Trip’. Voor dit project introduceert de Belgische artiest vier nieuwe nummers, waaronder de meest recente singles ‘Cloud 9’ en ‘Crack My Mind’.
Het nieuwe materiaal op deze Deluxe-editie vangt de zucht naar avontuur dat ‘Comic Trip’ zo typeert, maar grijpt ook terug naar de verleidelijke, donkere verbeeldingskracht van Sylvie’s vroegere werk. Het opzwepende ‘Justice Breeze’ is een verhaal over een groep vrouwelijke piraten die wraak nemen op een man die hen slecht heeft behandeld.

Dianne: "'Phantom of War' is een lied over overleven, over moed en voor jezelf opkomen. Het weerspiegelt een ingrijpende gebeurtenis uit mijn recente verleden, die ik heb omgezet in een krachtig anthem. Zowel het artwork van de single als de videoclip leggen treffend het moment vast waarop ik uiteindelijk de bijl oppak – nog steeds wankelend van het besef waar ik in terecht ben gekomen – en me klaar maak om de eerste klap uit zelfverdediging uit te delen."
DIANNE’s vijf vorige singles waren 'The Elders’ Call' (april 2025), 'Flameborn' (oktober 2024), 'A Symphonic Tragedy' (maart 2024), ‘Unleash the Siren’ (september 2023) en debuutsingle ‘After the Storm’ (februari 2023). Alle nummers zijn afkomstig van debuuoalbum ‘Soulward Bound’, dat op een unieke en onconventionele manier tot stand komt: verspreid over vijf jaar, met twee singles per jaar. Door te kiezen voor deze manier van releasen kan DIANNE voor ieder nummer een andere band - bestaand uit een steeds wisselende bezetting van bekende en gerenommeerde internationale rock- en metalmuzikanten - presenteren.

DIANNE (VAN GIERSBERGEN)
Dianne van Giersbergen (1985) is een Nederlandse dramatische sopraan, bekend als voormalig frontvrouw van Xandria waarmee ze de wereld rond toerde en twee albums en een EP uitbracht via Napalm Records, respectievelijk ‘Sacrificium’ (2014), ‘Fire & Ashes’ (2015) en ‘Theater of Dimensions’ (2017). Dianne is ook het gezicht van progressieve metal band 'Ex Libris', die ze in 2004 oprichtte en die tot nu toe drie albums heeft uitgebracht: 'Amygdala' (2008), 'Medea’ (2014) en het meest recente derde album 'ANN' uit 2019.
Ze deelde daarnaast het podium met Ayreon tijdens diens 'Into the Electric Castle' shows (2019) en is tevens te horen op Powerwolf's ‘The Sacrament of Sin’ (2018), Ayreon’s ‘Transitus’ (2020) en Amorphis' ‘Halo’ (2022).
Dianne van Giersbergen kreeg haar eerste zangles op vierjarige leeftijd en begon in 2005 haar bachelor Klassieke Muziek & Opera aan het ArtEZ Conservatorium. Ze studeerde in 2009 (bachelor) en in 2012 (master) beide cum laude af.

NEW ALBUM "PARADER", OUT ON NOVEMBER 21, 2025 VIA PLAY IT AGAIN SAM
Enigmatic polymath Keaton Henson has shared two new singles from his highly anticipated new album Parader — the introspective Past It and the incisive Loose Ends. The tracks will be the last to come ahead of the albums release on November 21st via Play It Again Sam.
Parader marks Henson's ninth studio album and his first since 2024's Somnambulant Cycles. It also follows his recent return single Lazy Magician (co-written by Ratboys' Julia Steiner), which was released in July, earning support from the likes of Rolling Stone UK, Crack, The Line Of Best Fit, The New Cue, Stereogum, Under The Radar, and GoldFlakePaint, who said it hinted "at a bold new chapter on the horizon; a restless and romantic re-defining."
Whereas that single nodded to Henson beginning to shed the "quiet boy" persona that has defined much of his career — if we're to omit his myriad efforts composing for film and theatre, an electronic side project, his classical offerings, his illustration and writing work — the new album sees him fully embracing the grunge-infused sounds of his youth. This was expanded upon with his last single Insomnia, which was announced alongside the new album and saw Henson entwining aching self-observation with a defiance he terms as "musical snark".
New songs Past It and Loose Ends capture the two ends of Henson's journey both personally and musically across the forthcoming record. The first, a nostalgia-soaked evaluation of his career as a musician, is delivered through a crackling, lo-fi hum reminiscent of Christian Lee Hutson or Phoebe Bridgers. While awash with self-doubt, the self-reflective daydream is permeated by an understanding of his own needs. "This one's a bit meta," says Henson. "It's me looking at ageing and growing older as a musician. But also reflecting on the whole idea of a 37-year-old man singing the kinds of songs I sing, especially the way I am on this album. Sometimes you can catch your reflection while writing songs and I have these thoughts, usually ending with wondering if anyone will even hear it."
The latter of the two tracks Loose Ends, sees him once again revisiting that musical snark from the last single, carrying a American garage-rock undercurrent in the lurking distortion and its combative rhythm, the taunting cry of "Oh me, oh my" bears an argumentative edge in its sardonic dark tone. "It's referential of music from my youth," continues Henson. "The kind of early 2000s rock bands from America. It's pretty sarcastic. It's about feeling like you're guilting someone into staying with you. It's pretty snarky, self-loathing and dark, maybe contrasting the fun of the music".
