Archive, the unique, enigmatic and acclaimed collective who formed in Croydon, South London in 1994, have today shared City Walls, the latest single from their forthcoming 13th studio album Glass Minds, which is released on Friday 27th February 2026 via the band's own Dangervisit label through [PIAS].
Talking about City Walls, which follows previous singles Look At Us, and Wake Up Strange, and is accompanied by a stunning video directed by Maxim Kelly, Archive main man Darius Keeler said: "'City Walls' is a hauntingly beautiful song with a 'stop you in your tracks' vocal from Pollard Berrier. The video that accompanies it, directed once again by Maxim Kelly, is a truly stunning piece of art in its own right."
Glass Minds is the follow-up to the band's 2022 triple-album set, Call to Arms & Angels, which charted Top 10 in countries right across Europe and saw the band headline their biggest live shows to date, culminating at the 15,000 capacity Paris Accor Arena in November 2023.
The album marks a powerful evolution in the band's 30-year journey. Initiated by the core quartet, the record embraces a minimal, down-tempo sound with expansive, emotive space. The addition of Essex rapper Jimmy Collins brings a fierce, haunting energy to Heads Are Gonna Roll, while singer Lisa Mottram delivers spontaneous brilliance across several tracks, including the hypnotic title song and the brooding The Love The Light.
The album's versatility spans raw, percussive rhythms in When You're This Down, electro-pop touches in Wake Up Strange, and motorik vibes in Look At Us. At the emotional core is So Far From Losing You, an eight-minute epic blending rap and vocals that reflects Keeler's personal life. Driven by a desire to create without boundaries, Archive continue to challenge and inspire fans, proving that their creative spark burns as bright as ever.
Talking about the new album, Keeler said:
"The album all started after we composed the song Patterns. We really loved the space and minimalistic power of the song, it reminded us of our debut album Londinium, and how we approached writing at that time - heavy rhythm with a melancholy that penetrates the soul. I was listening to Elgar's Nimrod a lot at the time we started writing the new album, and I wanted to use brass as an added dimension, bringing even more emotion to the songs. Our last album, Call to Arms & Angels was a pretty heavy record in retrospect, due to the whole Covid experience. This one feels like we're breaking out into a more expansive and uplifting dimension."
The album is produced by Archive and long term collaborator Jerome Devoise, recorded at Metway Studios, Brighton & Angel Studios, London and mixed at Studio DES, Paris. The album artwork was designed by Saatchi Gallery collected artist Alaric Hammond.

Now critically acclaimed, twice Grammy nominated, Mercury Prize and BRIT award winning artist Arlo Parks announces her new album Ambiguous Desire out April 3, 2026 via Transgressive Records. Over the past two years, Arlo dove head first into nocturnal spaces where she could be whoever she wanted. Arlo drew inspiration from the queer hedonism of NYC's Paradise Garage to the moody nocturnal British beats of The Streets and Burial, the glittering synth catharsis of LCD Soundsystem, and rooted house grooves of Theo Parrish, losing herself on the dancefloor. Ambiguous Desire is Parks at her most confident and experimental, supplanting live band sessions for modular synths, Ableton plugins and samplers that channel the frenetic, vibrant spaces she was immersed in, all while spotlighting the acclaimed poetry and lyricism she's beloved for.
Reflecting on the making of the record, Parks shares, "I danced more than ever as I made this record, I made more friends than ever too, found myself in the weird underbelly of New York juke nights, unleashed, laughed and laughed and laughed. This record has desire at its center. Desire is a life force, it's a wanting, a yearning, a momentum - we are all alive because there is something or someone we want - desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN."
Alongside the album announcement Arlo Parks shares new single 2SIDED, which premiered as a BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record. The track offers the first glimpse into the album's world — a tender hope that a new lover feels as intensely as you do — carried by thick, humming synths and skittering drum machines. The song comes alongside a Molly Burdett-directed music video — a film about connection through movement, emotion and rhythm. Speaking about the single Arlo shares, "At its core '2SIDED' is about yearning and tension. It's about being struck by a bolt of desire and building up the courage to put language to that feeling, to make it real."
Parks crafted the album with producer Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract). Their process unfolded between NYC's vibrant, community-rooted nightlife and long, introspective days spent in Baird's downtown loft. The result is Parks' most vulnerable, self-affirming, and euphoric work to date.
Bursting onto the scene with her distinct blend of raw lyrical self-expression and vivid vocal melody, Parks has since been nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album, won the Mercury Music Prize for her 2021 Gold-certified debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams, been named a Breakthrough Artist at the Brit Awards, and been nominated at the Ivor Novello Awards. A poet as much as a performer, Parks followed up her previous critically acclaimed album My Soft Machine (2023) with the debut of her first published book, The Magic Border, a collection of 20 new poems and exclusive images by Daniyel Lowden alongside lyrics from My Soft Machine.
Arlo is also a featured writer on Beyoncé's Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter. Arlo has performed at Glastonbury and Coachella, opened for Billie Eilish and Harry Styles and captivated audiences across the world with her headline tour.

Seen is een intiem en ontwapenend lied over bestaansrecht: het verlangen om gezien te worden, ruimte in te mogen nemen en niet te verdwijnen. Coomans schreef de song na een lang gesprek met een vriend over precies dat thema, maar het nummer kreeg een diepere lading door wat zich tegelijk in zijn eigen leven afspeelde. Terwijl zijn jonge dochter Irene spelenderwijs taal en liedjes leerde, de song opent met het door haar ingezongen kinderliedje "Wie vrolijk is in de ochtend, die lacht de ganse dag...
hiphoi", zag hij hoe zijn vader net diezelfde vaardigheden langzaam verloor. Taal, geheugen en beweging brokkelden af. Die botsing vormt het emotionele hart van Seen.
In de songtekst klinkt een zachte maar vastberaden belofte: "I won't do the things that make you disappear." Het is een zin die zowel gericht lijkt aan een ander als aan zichzelf.
Muzikaal is Seen een klein, fragiel miniatuurtje, maar precies in die soberheid schuilt de kracht. Aan het eind van het lied zingt Irene, knipogend naar popartieste Taylor Swift, "It's me... hi" in een echo- speelgoedmicrofoon. Seen is precies dat: een zachte daad van zelfbehoud en een kleine oproep om bestaansrecht te geven aan jezelf en wat je voelt. Met Seen toont Vincent Coomans zich op zijn meest kwetsbaar, en misschien net daarom het meest zichtbaar.

Op 16 januari 2026 verschijnt Dark Dog, het tweede album van Vincent Coomans via Wellington Records
Coomans schreef het album in een verwarrende periode waarin hij vader werd op het moment dat zijn vader alles wat hij doorheen zijn leven had verworven (taal, motoriek, herinneringen) langzamerhand verloor. Terwijl hij die dieptrieste, impressies thuis in zijn muziek verwerkte in het bijzijn van zijn dochter merkte hij op hoe zijn dochter net alles verwierf (taal, motoriek, herinneringen) en hoe de ze de muziek verrijkte met haar stem, speelgoedinstrumenten en een uitbundig spelen op de achtergrond. Zo werd de beladen muziek op een vreemdsoortige muziek net heel uitbundig, speels en uitgelaten.
Coomans besloot de muziek in zijn thuisomgeving op te nemen en alles te capteren. Hij nodigde zijn band uit om intuïtief mee te spelen op de muziek. Banjo's, mandogitaren, trompet en viool verrijken het klankpallet van het album dat evenzeer uit schurende solotracks bestaat.
Dark Dog is een grimmige maar tegelijk intieme, mooie ode aan het leven dat zijn gangetje gaat terwijl er zich op de achtergrond een ramp voltrekt.
Vincent Coomans is een muzikant die woont en werkt in België. Rouw is een centraal thema in zijn muziek. In 2020 publiceerde hij zijn instinctief geschreven en opgenomen slaapkamerEP Can't you see that I Slowly distance myself from you. Met enkele tracks, zoals One Way Love, haalde hij enkele editorials op Spotify (Made in Belgium en Rustig & Mooi). In 2023 verscheen zijn eerste album The Great Rebuild bij Illuminine Records. In 2023 werd hij artist in residence in Muziekcentrum Dranouter en mocht hij zo ook optreden op Festival Dranouter. In 2023 bracht hij samen met Illuminine Catch The Night in Marble uit. Het nummer belandde in de lijst van beste nummers van 2023 volgens Duyster.

Wondermooie Rotzooi is de tweede single van Broer, het nieuwe album van Wouter Thijssen dat in het voorjaar verschijnt op het nieuwe label Thorn In My Side Recordings (Bonfire Lakes, RAMAN.). Wouter schreef Wondermooie Rotzooi naar aanleiding van een fotoboek dat zijn broer Wille achterliet. Het documenteert de excessen, de idealen en de dadendrang van een lang vervlogen subcultuur van punks uit de jaren 80. Het fotoboek was ook de aanleiding voor de postume instagramaccount Wille_1971.
"Broer grijpt terug naar een woelig verleden, vol littekens, rebellie en huiselijk geweld. Mijn oudere broer Wille en ik. Vluchtend in de groeven van het Zwarte Goud dat zich opstapelde in onze kamers. Hij één en al dadendrang en anarchie terwijl ik me terugtrok in mijn verbeelding. Now January 9th, 2026, Father John Misty's “The Old Law” is a new single available on all digital streaming services worldwide from Sub Pop. The song was produced by Drew Erickson and Josh Tillman, mixed by Michael Harris and Jonathan Wilson at Fivestar Studios in Los Angeles, and mastered by Adam Amyan at Ayan Mastering. “The Old Law” is previously known to Father John Misty fans as “God’s Trash” and debuted as part of the live set in the fall of 2024.
A little over a year later, “The Old Law” single follows the release of Mahashmashana, Father John Misty’s sixth long player in twelve years, released in November 2024.
The Western US leg of Father John Misty’s previously announced international headlining and festival tour dates in support of Mahashmashana kick off Monday, March 23rd in Ventura, CA at the Majestic Ventura Theater and run through Sunday, May 17th in Pomona, CA at The Fox Theater.
Along this run, Father John Misty has scheduled two-night stands at the historic The Castro Theatre in San Francisco (March 24th+25th), and at The Paramount Theatre in Seattle (Apr. 3rd+4th). He will also headline at Boise’s Treefort Festival (Mar. 29th).
Father John Misty’s UK & EU run will start on Monday, June 1st in Lisbon, PT at Sagres Campo Pequeno and end on Sunday, June 14th in Wicklow, IE with a headlining set at Beyond The Pale Festival. Highlights for this run include appearances at Primavera Festival in Barcelona, ES (Jun. 4th), and Northside Festival in Aarhus, DK (Jun. 6th) and Father John Misty’s first headlining shows in Portugal in eight years.
Variety says of his July 2025 headlining performance at The Greek Theatre, “He’s one of contemporary music’s greatest lyricists and one of our loveliest melodists (a good combo, when you can find it, by the way), so there’s usually some kind of euphoric effect even in distemper or dystopia. His wish is our command when it comes to actually enjoying stuff that sounds more challenging on paper, or even on vinyl, than it does in the flesh.”

The Besnard Lakes return with their seventh album The Besnard Lakes Are the Ghost Nation. In doing so confirming their status as one of the most peerlessly consistent bands over the 20 years plus of their existence - with a purity of vision and level of quality that is hard to rival in modern music.
“I feel like it's a very formidable title, symbolic of the times,” says co-singer Jace Lasek. “It's talking about the death of nations, the threat of Canada being the 51st state. There is the desire to be left alone, to let community be community, all of those things that feel like they might be under siege; that's what the ghost nation is.”
The band confirms this was partly in response to their last album, 2021’s The Besnard Lakes Are the Last of the Great Thunderstorm Warnings. “The last record was so heavy,” reflects Jace. “There was so much weight and heavy themes, like my dad dying. It was just death everywhere on that record. This album doesn't really seem to be that. To me, it seems very playful.”
They gathered in a gorgeous barn at Lost River Studios, deep in the woods of the Laurentians, to record the album. Spending 5 days compiling, experimenting and experiencing the creative solitude in the woods with some of the band’s family members there. The result is a playful yet thoughtful and heartfelt collection of psychedelic sounds and experiences, which was mixed by Lasek at the Rigaud Ranch Studio.
The first cut lifted from the album ‘In Hollywood’ dates back to 2010 and…are the Roaring Night era, recalls co-singer Olga Goreas: “It’s a melody that was circulating in Jace’s mind for many years. Unable to let it go, Jace sat with it and finally brought it to light. Written in a dropped D tuning, In Hollywood is atypical in the Besnard canon. Some very creative synth work from Sheenah in the outro. A beautifully bizarre guitar solo from Gabriel. This one shows off Jace’s vocal stylings and has an intriguing lyrical journey for the listener to discover.”
The Besnard Lakes Are the Ghost Nation is another fascinating trip and it might just be their best album yet; a strive for hope when it is needed most.

Ólafur Arnalds keert terug naar Brussel met niet één, maar twee onmisbare concerten in het Koninklijk Circus op 12 en 13 oktober 2026! Deze Belgische concerten maken deel uit van de "Falling Apart Together"-tour, een vernieuwende en ambitieuze liveshow van de IJslandse componist. Ólafur Arnalds is een veelvuldig bekroonde IJslandse componist en producer, bekend om zijn unieke talent om neoklassieke, elektronische en ambient muziek te verweven tot soundscapes met grote emotionele diepgang. Het Brusselse publiek heeft warme herinneringen aan zijn passage in 2025 met Kiasmos, tijdens grootse concerten in het Koninklijk Circus en het OLT Rivierenhof. Die concerten stonden in het teken van de terugkeer van het iconische duo dat hij vormt met zijn landgenoot Janus Rasmussen. Arnalds blijft voortdurend in beweging en werkt aan tal van projecten, onder meer met zangeres Loreen binnen het project "SAGES" en met artiest Talos voor "A Dawning". Met "Falling Apart Together" verkent Ólafur Arnalds een format dat het traditionele concert overstijgt en uitmondt in een diepgaande, zintuigelijke en emotionele ervaring. Het project nodigt uit om artiest en publiek dichter bij elkaar te brengen en focust op menselijke kwetsbaarheid. Het onderzoekt de beschermingsmechanismen die we opbouwen, maar ook de schoonheid die ontstaat wanneer die beginnen te barsten. Omringd door trouwe muzikanten combineert Ólafur nieuwe composities en opvallende stukken uit zijn rijke repertoire in een hybride format dat de grenzen van een liveoptreden verlegt. Je kijkt niet scheel: op algemeen verzoek keert Dressed Like Boys nu al terug naar Festival Dranouter. Na een indrukwekkende zegetocht met een titelloos debuut, zes MIA-nominaties en uitverkochte shows vertaalt Jelle Denturck zijn persoonlijke verhalen over vrijheid, liefde en identiteit naar kwetsbare, openhartige songs. De Cirque was vorig jaar te klein voor dit groots talent, dus dit jaar schittert hij op de mainstage. Intiem, breekbaar en meeslepend - dit is zo'n concert waar je muisstil van wordt.
Fris gezicht met oeroud concept: Camilo Donoso levert hoogst persoonlijke maar universele liedjes vol emotie en eerlijkheid, geïnspireerd door Shaffy en De Vos. Rijzende ster binnen de Nederlandstalige muziek!
De piepjonge Belgische folky indierock-ster ISE brak op haar 17e al door na De Nieuwe Lichting (StuBru), met meer dan 65 shows wereldwijd - van Sziget tot Japan. Haar debuutalbum 'Suitcase Child' serveert je rauwe, persoonlijke verhalen over jeugd, scheiding en emoties. Haar debuutalbum, full band en nieuw geluid zijn klaar voor Dranouter. Katherine Priddy bestormt de folkscene met haar derde album 'These Frightening Machines' en krijgt volop airplay op Radio 1. Met haar spookachtige stem, loepzuiver fingerpicking-gitaarspel en uitverkochte tours slaat ze de traditie in van Joni Mitchell en Joan Baez. Roberta Gulisano, het krachtige Siciliaanse talent met een uitzonderlijk warme en expressieve stem, veroverde Europa met haar intense, persoonlijke songs en weelderige arrangementen. In 2026 viert Kadril zijn 50ste verjaardag: tijd voor een feestje! Deze legendarische mijlpaal brengt hen terug naar Festival Dranouter, waar ze ooit hun allereerste lp voorstelden. De bekendste folkrockgroep van Vlaanderen blies Kadril eeuwenoude Vlaamse liederen nieuw leven in. Met een feestelijke mix van tijdloze traditie en nieuwe composities klinkt Kadril vandaag even levendig, herkenbaar en onweerstaanbaar als altijd. De overheid kondigde aan dat de BTW op festivaltickets in maart verhoogt. Momenteel zijn alle tickettypes beschikbaar aan een voordeliger tarief. Koop dus vóór maart je ticket aan & pik je voordeel mee. De vorige edities waren steeds volledig uitverkocht, goed voor maar liefst 55.000 festivalgangers. Met headliners als Pommelien Thijs, ZAZ, Sylvie Kreusch en Raymond van het Groenewoud gaat de ticketverkoop dit jaar als een trein.
Vanaf 1 maart stijgt het BTW-tarief op tickets van 6 naar 12%. Wil je nog aan voordelig tarief een ticket bemachtigen, wacht dan niet te lang. Er zijn dag, 2-daagse en weekendtickets beschikbaar aan een voordelig tarief.
Plannen kunnen altijd veranderen. Gelukkig kan je dankzij de omboektool van Paylogic zelf je festivalticket omboeken naar een ander tickettype. Zo kan je zorgeloos nu al je tickets bestellen voor Festival Dranouter 2026.

Flanders Folk Awards 2026 – Vera Coomans (Madou) ontvangt Lifetime Achievement Award
Dit jaar wordt zangeres Vera Coomans (Madou) geëerd met de prestigieuze Lifetime Achievement Award tijdens de Flanders Folk Awards 2026, als erkenning voor haar indrukwekkende carrière.
Van straatmuziek in New York tot Rum en Madou: Vera Coomans (77, woont in Brussel, met muzikale roots in Antwerpen) gaf met haar heldere, soms breekbare maar altijd indringende stem poëtische en melancholische songs als Witte Nachten en Niets voor mij een iconische status in de Lage Landen. Ook daarna bleef ze verrassen, met samenwerkingen met onder anderen Philip Hoessen, haar zoon Thomas, Tom Theuns, Jaune Toujours en recent nog op de soundtrack van Putain (Zwangere Guy & Madou). Haar invloed klinkt vandaag nog even krachtig als veertig jaar geleden.
De awardshow vindt plaats in het begin van de Week van de Belgische Muziek, op dinsdag 3 februari in de AB. Naast de Lifetime Achievement Award worden prijzen uitgereikt in de categorieën Beste Live Band, Beste Album en Horizon, die vernieuwende projecten en beloftevolle bands in de schijnwerpers zet.

Rooted in the introspective 90s neo-soul that has long inspired her, the track is carried throughout by irresistible grooves and rich, textured instrumentation. The Oyster Version builds on this foundation, embracing Adja's love for stripped-back jazz and expanding the song into a broader, more hopeful, though never naïve, perspective. ADJA
Adja is a Brussels-based singer, composer and theater maker whose work blends intimate storytelling with a soulful, genre-fluid sound rooted in jazz, R&B, soul and gospel. With a warm, earthy voice and a sharp sense of humor, she turns everyday experiences into emotionally resonant songs that feel both grounded and transcendent.
Inspired by artists like D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Joni Mitchell, Adja crafts a rich, organic sound that is delicate when needed, yet deeply expressive. She won Belgium's Sound Track competition in 2022 and released her acclaimed debut EP IRONEYE via Sdban Ultra, garnering international praise and over 3 million Spotify streams.
